Mason Excels at Region 15 Congressional Debate Contest
Mason High School hosted the Region 15 Congressional Debate Contest. Six MHS students placed and three advanced to state. Students L-R: Sabina Perez, Briley Lehmberg, Hannah McFarland, Elizabeth McFarland, Hannah Holbrook, Sophie Ahlschwede, and Adalie Thomas.

Students from Mason High School dominated the Regional UIL Congressional Debate which Mason hosted on November 5th.

Elizabeth McFarland won 1st Place, Hannah McFarland won 2nd Place, and Hannah Holbrook won 3rd Place. All three will be advancing to compete at the state contest.

In addition to the three students who advanced to state, the rest of the debate team performed excellently and nabbed the rest of the contest’s awards for class 2A. Adalie Thomas won 4th and will be the state alternate. Briley Lehmberg won 5th, and Sophie Ahlschwede won 6th.
