Though the girls high school basketball season just started, the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches has shown its deep respect for District 29-2A.
That’s because three of its members are ranked in the top 10 of the Class 2A state poll. They are San Saba at No. 4, Mason at No. 7 and Goldthwaite at No. 9.
But what makes this season so interesting are the number of high school players on the Goldthwaite and San Saba rosters that are not seniors and the number of underclassmen who are playing on the varsity this year.
