The Blanco football team beat Comfort 45-28 last Friday to capture the district championship.
The Panthers finished the regular season 8-2 overall and 4-0 in District 13-3A, Division 2. They will open the playoffs at 7 p.m. Friday against Industrial. The game will be played in Luling.
“We are proud to have finished the regular season as district champions,” Blanco coach Kent Walker said. “Our players and coaches have worked extremely hard all year, and we’re excited to continue our season in the playoffs.”
