The Mason High School football team is aiming for its 15th consecutive district championship and continuing a tradition of unbeaten winning streaks in district play.
But to do that, the Punchers (6-3, 4-0) will have to dispose of a San Saba team that will arrive to R. Clinton Schulze Puncher Dome Stadium with plenty of confidence, swagger and grit.
That’s because the Armadillos (6-3, 3-1) have similarities with the Punchers: physical linemen who aren’t afraid of contact, a defense that relentlessly pursues the football, and an offense that has skilled runners capable of moving the chains and doing more with every touch.
