Dozens of local organizations joined forces to host Llano’s National Night Out on Monday, October 7, at Robinson Park, where a perfect fall evening set the stage for neighbors to gather, connect, and thank the first responders who keep the community safe. Families filled the park to tour emergency vehicles, meet local officers and firefighters, and enjoy live music, food, and family-friendly activities—all free of charge.
National Night Out, celebrated across the country since 1984, is a community-building campaign that strengthens partnerships between law enforcement and residents while fostering connection, safety awareness, and hometown pride.
The Llano High School “Jacket Jazz” Band set the tone with an outstanding performance that filled the pavilion with lively tunes. Special guests Smokey Bear and Sheriff T.J. Rabbit delighted the crowd alongside Llano’s local heroes in uniform. Children lined up for colorful face painting from Sunshine the Clown, and laughter carried across the park as many ended the night in a sudsy blur at the Badger Foam Party.
