The Llano County Commissioners Court met for its regular meeting Monday morning at 9 a.m. with a packed audience. While some attended for routine business, most were present for the Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Grant presentations scheduled to follow.
During public announcements, Sheriff Marquis Cantu presented new body armor for sheriff’s deputies, noting that the updated vests are significantly lighter than the 20-pound models previously in use.
Commissioner Linda Rashke briefed the court on the highly successful bulk collection event on October 11, which collected 567 tires, approximately 500 pounds of batteries, 165 gallons of oil, and 55 gallons of antifreeze.
