Sonya Torres has recently returned to Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities and will now provide services to Blanco County.
Torres, an EMS mental health specialist, returned to the role after a four-year break from doing crisis work. She has been with Hill Country Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (MHDD) for the past 11.5 years.
“I was an original (Mobile Crisis Outreach Team) team member. I began the IMCAT (Mobile Crisis Outreach Team) in Kerr and Gillespie counties. During that time, I worked as a qualified mental health professional. My position is totally embedded with (Blanco County Health Paramedicine), meaning I am fully mobile and in the community at all times,” said Torres.
