The Blanco volleyball team split a pair of district contests last week.
The Lady Panthers defeated Llano 3-1 on Oct. 7, then fell 3-0 to Comfort last Friday. Blanco is 11-24 overall and 3-3 in District 5-3A contests. Ingram leads the district at 6-0 and Comfort is in second place at 5-1. Blanco and Llano are both 3-3, while Florence is 1-5 and Brady is 0-6.
Blanco defeated Llano 2520, 25-18, 20-25 and 26-24. Gretschen Grosch led the team with 20 kills. Brighton Atchley had 13 kills, while Carleigh Dotson made 12 kills. Payton Craft hit seven kills, while Amelia Bonar and Landry Meyer each hit two kills. Meyer and Lily Bendele each hit two service aces. Dotson served one ace.
