The Horseshoe Bay POA’s Fall Festival and Chili Cook-O on Thursday, Oct. 2, was a huge success, drawing a lively crowd to Quail Point Lodge for an evening of great food, mu - sic and community fun. Attendees enjoyed tasting an impressive lineup of chili entries while exploring a bustling indoor marketplace filled with local vendors. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, live music, and the unmistakable aroma of simmering chili, which could only mean one thing: competition was fierce, and the cooks had brought their best.
Congratulations to this year's Chili Cook-O win - ners! Taking first place was CD Electric, followed by Hilly Chilly in second and Horseshoe Bay Neighbors/ Ja Mar Roofing in third. The highly coveted Peo - ple's Choice Award went to the HSB Police Depart - ment, whose chili proved to be a fan favorite. We also want to recognize our other fantastic cooks: The Covin Golf Group, Ca - dence Bank, Llano County Republican Party, Two Hot Messes, Sabor De Leon and Star Republican Women. Thank you, Horseshoe Bay Resort, for providing the hay bales for the event. A special thank-you goes to Miss Vickie's Catering for sharing their own tasty chili samples outside of the com -
petition.
