The federal government shutdown has caused temporary changes to the LBJ Ranch.
The Friends of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park stated that park staff and contractors will continue essential operations and construction activities under limited capacity. At this time, LBJ Ranch is closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic beyond the front entrance at the Junction School. The visitor center, boyhood home, event center and restroom facilities are also temporarily closed.
Visitors can still access the Johnson Settlement area, where they can enjoy self-guided walks and outdoor interpretive experiences.
