The Johnson City volleyball team won a pair of matches last week in convincing fashion.
The Lady Eagles swept Harper at home on Sept. 30 and swept Sonora on the road on Oct. 3. The Lady Eagles have one more game in the first round of district play – Oct. 7’s home matchup with Junction – and have yet to lose even an individual set so far against district opponents. This performance so far bodes well for the Johnson City team looking for another deep playoff run, but for the moment, head coach Heather Wilson is focused on helping the team improve as much as it can as the remaining games come and go.
“They’re doing well, it’s just our focus every day is continuing to make each other better,” Wilson said. “Grind every day in, every day out, and just play our game no matter who’s on the other side of the net.”
