Although it is the smallest post in its district, Mason’s Melvin Eckert VFW Post 8554 has won the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)’s national All-American Post Award, as well as the All-State Award for 2025.
Post 8554 earned the prestigious national award through its “excellence in membership growth, community service and leadership,” according to the VFW website.
“The All-American Post designation goes to top-performing VFW posts globally to recognize those posts that achieve the absolute highest standards, including exceptional support for veterans, their families and the community they serve,” according to the national VFW.
