The Odeon Theater is excited to welcome The Rifters to the stage on Saturday, October 25, at 7:00 pm. The musical group originated in the vibrant and creative music scene of Taos, New Mexico, in 2002. The band was formed by Rod Taylor (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Don Richmond (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, pedal steel guitar, dobro, harmonica, vocals), and Jim Bradley (bass, vocals), who had known each other for years, playing in the acoustic dance-oriented Americana music scene of northern New Mexico.
The group, which has released seven albums to date, is known for their distinctive “Southwestern Americana” rhythmic acoustic-based music. Their choice of moving and powerful material, both original and by others, their impeccable musicianship, and their soaring three part harmonies combine to always make The Rifters a crowd-pleasing musical experience.
Tickets for the concert are $25 per person if purchased in advance at theodeontheater.com and $30 (cash only) at the door. Students 18 and under can purchase tickets for $10 at the door, if seats are available. For additional concert information and questions regarding reservations, email [email protected]. Wine will be available for purchase by the bottle and glass from Texas Heritage Winery.
