The Mason High School football team took a well-earned bye last week along with the rest of District 14-2A Division I, which was agreed upon by all the coaches.
That meant there was no scouting to do. Instead, coaches and players used last week to rest and put in some practice on improving on the basics and fundamentals of the sport.
“It was a lot of working on the things that we've struggled with,” Punchers head coach Wade Griffin said. “It was introducing concepts that we're going to see down the stretch here in district play.”
