The Blanco volleyball team split a pair of matches last week.
The Lady Panthers lost to the San Antonio Saints, a homeschool team, 3-1 on Sept. 30 then rebounded with a 3-0 District 5-3A win against Brady Bulldogs last Friday. Blanco is 1023 overall and 2-2 in district play. Ingram leads the district at 5-0. Comfort is second at 3-1, while Blanco and Llano are third at 2-2.
The Saints won 25-16, 19-25, 25-23 and 25-13. Carleigh Dotson fired in 18 kills to pace the Lady Panthers offensively. Gretschen Grosch scored eight kills, while Brylee Stipanovich hit seven kills. Landry Meyer hit two kills and Briley Myers and Amelia Bonar each had one kill. Dotson and Lily Bendele each served two aces. Grosch, Meyer and Kamryn Gaskamp each served one ace.
