11 Initiatives Identified for HSB Comprehensive Plan

Additional chairs had to be set up to accommodate the full house for Mayor Elsie Thurman’s final town hall meeting at Quail Point Lodge on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 25.

She will complete her two year term at the October city council meeting when Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Jones becomes Horseshoe Bay’s fifth mayor in its eventful first 20 years.

Giving a brief recap of her second year, Thurman emphasized the transportation plan. She announced a $399,000 feasibility design study for two roundabouts on FM 2147 located at HSB West Blvd. and HSB Blvd. at the entrance to the Resort. She explained, “This is something we think will be helpful to slow down the traffic.”
