The Horseshoe Bay Women’s Golf Association hosted a Sunday Couples competition on Sept. 28.
The crispy, cool weather made for an excellent day of golf at Slick Rock golf course. There were 72 players (18 teams) competing in a 4-person shamble. The field was split into two flights. Each participant was required to use 4 drives. Handicaps were combined by team. The teams best gross and net on each hole was recorded.
Separately, men and women each had two holes to compete closest to the pin. Winners included Jack Hunter (hole 2), Terry Dukes (hole 8), Tom McDonald (hole 13) and Susan Kuklinski (hole 17). Payouts for the shamble went to first and second gross and first and second net in each flight.
