Two longtime pillars of the Kingsland community are parting ways. Sharing the Harvest (STH), the area’s largest food pantry, will leave the campus of First Baptist Church by December 1 after more than three decades of working side by side.

While both organizations describe the change as unfortunate, leaders agree that the move will ultimately open new opportunities for growth.

“We are sad to see them leave but are confident that they know what they’re doing and that they will achieve their vision,” Pastor David Henneke of First Baptist Church told The News on Tuesday. “By staying on our property, their vision would be limited. I believe their goal is to grow beyond what we can provide.”
