The Blanco County Commissioners passed a resolution to support the night sky initiative at their meeting Sept. 23.
They proclamation declares October as Hill Country Night Sky Month in Blanco County. April Sansom, president of the Blanco County Conservation Initiative and executive director of Bamberger Ranch Preserve, spoke in favor of the resolution during public comments at the meeting.
“I think it’s a really great idea and I would commend you for having that as part of your agenda,” she said. “I think night skies are one of the things that we love most about Blanco County.”
