Blanco Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District board members met Sept. 16 for a regular meeting.
Board president Jimmy Klepac opened the first public hearing and general manager Erik Kubinski said that one protest had been received for the Johnson City permit.
Greg Ellis, BPGCD legal counsel, shared the formal protest process. “The protestant has the burden of proof to demonstrate by showing that they would be personally affected in a way different from the general public, and that the protestant must raise a justiciable issue relevant to groundwater management.”
