My name is Treg Hudson. I am announcing my intention to run for re-election as Mason County Justice of the Peace in 2026.
My wife Natalie and I have lived in Mason for 37 years and raised seven children here. We love Mason County! Natalie manages Hudson Market Square, which we purchased from my mother, Wendy Hudson. During my time in Mason, I have served nine years on the Mason ISD Board of Trustees and three years on the Mason County Appraisal District, Board of Directors. I currently serve on the board of Texas Farm Bureau and as an Elder at River of Life Church.
I have been honored to be the Justice of the Peace in Mason County for about eleven years. The Justice Court handles all of the Class C criminal cases and has a civil jurisdictional limit of $20,000. Civil cases include small claims, debt claims, evictions, and repair and remedy suits. Additionally, my duties include issuing warrants, functioning as a local magistrate, and conducting inquests.
