Enrollment in the Mason Independent School District (MISD) this fall is very close to last year’s at this time with 678 active students, said Superintendent Sean Leamon at Monday night’s school board meeting.
Currently there are 196 high school students, 216 middle schoolers and 266 elementary students, he said. Last fall, enrollment stood at 682 about this time, he said. Elementary enrollment has dropped the most this year, he reported.
Superintendent Leamon said that the new electronic football ticket sales are “going well,” as this year the MISD joined most other districts by doing away with cash ticket sales. Last week’s game brought in $2,188 in ticket sales and the Brady game’s sales were $4,400, he said.
