The Mason High School cross country program showed its strength while competing at the Heart of Texas Invitational September 17 in Brady.
The Punchers won the boys varsity division, which had 114 runners, while the Cowgirls finished fourth in their varsity division, which had 126 runners.
“I got some really great kids,” head coach Terra Griffin said. “They find ways to win and ways to compete. That's what makes them strong and so talented. It's just that they really and truly do love a challenge and love the thrill of racing, so I think that was a big part of it.”
