Llano Continues to Honor Golemon with Invitational

Llano Continues to Honor Golemon with Invitational
Middle-distance running coach Steve Golemon was all about empowering young people to set goals and helping them achieve them. That’s one reason why the Llano Independent School District cross country program named its annual meet after the former Yellow Jackets and Lady Jackets coach.

The Llano High School cross country program is hosting its annual Steve Golemon Memorial Invitational Wednesday, September 14, at the high school course.

The first high school race is tentatively scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. The junior high meet begins at 4 p.m.

The meet is named after the legendary coach, who died suddenly October 19, 2021, eight days after the Lady Jackets captured the district title and the Yellow Jackets finished third.
