Commissioners Pass Tax Rate, Budget for FY2025-26

The Blanco County Commissioners passed a tax rate and budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year at their meeting Sept. 9.

The total property tax rate was set at $0.372323 per $100 of valuation, with the maintenance and operations rate set at $0.347732 and the interest and sinking rate set at $0.0275. The tax rate raises $1.1 million more than taxes brought in during the current fiscal year.

“The overall tax rate is not unlike past years, but because of some auditing requirements or some accounting requirements, the change is more in (maintenance and operations) and less in debt service this year,” said Blanco County Judge Brett Bray.
