A woman is in custody after deputies with the Llano County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) responded to a reported homicide Friday afternoon in the Blue Lake community of Horseshoe Bay.
According to a September 16 press release, Llano County Deputies and Horseshoe Bay police were called to the 200 block of Blue Waters Drive at around 2:16 p.m. on September 12. When investigators arrived, they found one person dead at the scene. The victim was identified as Glenna Whitmarsh.
According to LCSO, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division, working alongside the Texas Rangers, obtained a search warrant and began a full investigation. The victim’s daughter, Dana Lynne Meador, has been arrested and charged with murder. She is being held at the Llano County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
