The Horseshoe Bay Cultural Enrichment Society is pleased to host the record-release party for the OUTLAW FIRM II, Sunday, Sept. 14, at Quail Point Lodge. The doors open at 3:45 p.m. and the show starts at 4:30 p.m. There are no tickets sold at the door. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.hsbenrichment.org.

The OUTLAW FIRM is made up of three musical journeymen – Mike Blakely, John M. Greenberg and John Arthur Martinez - who have performed around the world individually and together for over a quarter century. This HSB Cultural Enrichment Society is honored to host the official release of their second album consisting of nine original songs written by the band members, and a tenth number penned by up-and-coming songwriting phenom, Jake Martin.

The group came into existence through a string of “providential coincidences.” Country Music Hall of Famer Floyd Tillman introduced award-winning novelist Blakely to Martinez in 1987. Blakely and Martinez later teamed with composer Alex Harvey (“Delta Dawn” “Rueben James” and other songs) to co-write a song on the Grammy Award-winning album Flaco Jimenez. Kingsland studio owner Larry Nye introduced Blakely and Martinez to the “new kid” in Marble Falls, Greenberg, whose songs had earned him a spot in the Kerrville New Folk Finals in 1998 and 2000. The rest is history.
