Bigger and nicer. That’s how Mason Independent School District Superintendent Sean Leamon described the renovations to the R. Clinton Schulze Puncher Dome, which are scheduled to begin at the end the football season.
“It’s going to be all new,” he said of the press box and bleacher capacity. “They’ll be larger. The engineers are saying 1,100 home fans. I think it’ll be between 1,100 and 1,170.”
Perhaps the most important part is rebuilding the cover over the home stands and walkways that Mother Nature tore down during a late April storm in 2024.
