The Blanco cross country team competed in the Viking Cross Country Invitational Meet last Thursday at Lago Vista.
The varsity girls team placed sixth in the Class 1A-4A division. Lily Zamora captured the fourth place medal with a time of 14:27.50 on the two-mile course. Ashton Uballe won the fifth place medal with a time of 14:30.60. Carleigh Dotson finished 19th in 16:00.90, while Kailee Godinez took 35th with a time of 17:12.30. Kaylie McTeer placed 39th with a time of 17:45.00 and Kylli Gonzales finished 49th with a time of 19:15.90.
In the varsity boys race for the Class 1A-4A division, Heman Uballe placed 40th in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 23:25.19. Riley Russell finished 56th in 25:41.60.
