(MARBLE FALLS, TX) — The Falls on the Colorado Museum has big plans for October. First, the museum is hosting “A Time Before Texas,” an exhibit that explores how Paleo-Indians arrived in the area and how they lived. The exhibit will be available from Oct. 6 until Nov. 5.
At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, Vaughn Hamilton will talk about "Living on Hamilton Creek: A Quick Update on the last 160 Generations.” This presentation will cover findings from several archeological excavations on this creek over the past several years. “Many of the artifacts found in this area of Hamilton Creek span from 2000 to 4000 years ago.” stated Vaugh Hamilton.
The exhibit that will be at The Falls on the Colorado Museum for a month was created by The Texas Department of Transportation in partnership with Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment of the Humanities.
