The Llano High School girls cross country team competed at the Wimberley relay meet August 15.
The event was a two-person relay, meaning the Lady Jackets paired up and each ran a mile and “handed it off to a girl,” head coach Jay Parker said. The first runner finished her mile, handed the baton and got a short rest before taking the baton and running a second mile then handing it to her partner.
“They got their two miles in,” he said, pointing out runners must run two-mile courses in the sport.
