Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is accepting nominations through Sept. 19 for a new award that honors high school athletes who are committed to serving their communities on and off the field.
The Power Player Award seeks to recognize students who exemplify sportsmanship and the cooperative difference by exhibiting traits of leadership, dedication to their craft and concern for community.
“From balancing practices, homework, volunteering, and fundraising, these athletes are busy and driven,” said Mikayla Herron PEC community outreach specialist. “They lead and inspire in the classroom and on the field and bring out the best in their peers and their community. We want to recognize their efforts, sportsmanship and achievements.”
