Jackets’ Stable of Running Backs Gives Play-calling Options
Senior Jose Sillas is turning heads with his dedication to being the best running back he can be. He can take the handoff and quickly find the holes created by the offensive linemen, catch the ball in the backfield, and be an added blocker to pass protect. He showed that and more during are recent indoor scrimmage August 11.

Perhaps one of the most coveted skill positions in the Llano High School football program isn’t at quarterback.

An argument could be made it’s actually at running back where three runners in the last three years have been 1,000-yard rushers.

Three years ago Carson Kuykendall led the team in rushing with 1,931 yards and 26 touchdowns thanks to 279 rushes. Behind him was teammate Miguel Hernandez, who had 1,039 yards and six scores thanks to 143 carries.
