Mason’s County Commissioners conducted further discussions on repairing flood damage to county roads, heard departmental reports and continued with their series of budget workshops at Monday’s Commissioners Court.

County Judge Sheree Hardin reported that county officials had a good meeting on Friday with representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). The focus of this “recovery scoping meeting” was to “make sure the local, state and federal governments were on the same page,” throughout this recovery process, said Judge Hardin.

The county has 60 days from last Friday to complete a damage inventory list to submit for public assistance funds. They will now begin the process of how to group roads together into a list of projects to be completed, said Judge Hardin.
