After two weeks of practicing against each other, the Llano High School football team will face an opponent the Yellow Jackets don’t share a locker room with.
The Mason Punchers are making their way to Llano Stadium for scrimmages Friday, Aug. 15, with the junior varsity playing at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity to follow at 7 p.m. The Llano freshmen are traveling to Bandera to participate in a scrimmage against the Bulldogs and the Ingram Tom Moore Warriors.
The scrimmage against Mason will include a controlled portion, meaning each offense and defense will be guaranteed the same number of plays in a row, no matter the result. Coaches will follow that format with reserves. The final part of the scrimmage is a live quarter designed to simulate what the players will experience during a contest.
