A woman accused of driving drunk, causing a deadly three-vehicle collision, and fleeing the scene is now facing multiple felony charges, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Texas DPS said troopers responded to the crash just before 2:45 p.m. Sunday on Ranch Road 165 in Blanco County. Investigators believe Alexandra Jackson was behind the wheel of an SUV that rear-ended another SUV. The impact sent that vehicle spinning into the opposite lane, where it was struck by a third vehicle.
Two people inside the first SUV — Cynthia Schade and Donna Stevens — died at the scene. Two others in another vehicle were hospitalized with injuries.
