New Hoops Coach Sees Why Mason Is Elite In Every Way
Running back Colton Bennett tries to get around the edge during 11-on-11 work. The Punchers begin the 2025 season at Wall Friday, August 29. Last season Mason had a winning season fueled by a stellar offense and a stingy defense. Though many of those players graduated, new head coach Wade Griffin believes this year's Punchers have what it takes to keep winning.

Fresh off the field following his first practice with the Mason High School football team, coach Craig Koch was pumped up.

He was excited to see the talented, explosive and versatile athletes go all-out in every drill coaches put them through. He pointed out the speed throughout the field, the natural instincts to find the ball, and the willingness to do what it takes to make a play.

And though Koch, who is the new boys basketball head coach and assistant football coach, was referring to the gridiron, what he saw simply reinforced why he wanted to coach Mason athletes.
