The Mason High School football program completed the first of two practices August 4, the first day the University Interscholastic League allowed teams to meet for official practices to prepare for the 2025 season, minutes before it began raining.
Prior to that, cloud coverage hid the sun and kept temperatures low. A cool breeze was blowing.
The weather only intensified the practice as the Punchers went through their offensive running and passing plays against one another.
