Left-handed pitcher Johnny Slawinski, a former Johnson City Eagle, left for the Los Angeles Angels’ Arizona Complex League affiliate on Friday, July 18.

Slawinski was drafted by the Angels in the third round of the MLB Draft as a left-handed pitcher. He was the 79th overall pick and the Angels’ third pick in the draft. It’s a major milestone for Slawinski, and one that he has working toward for many years.

“It’s always been my dream growing up, for as long as I can remember,” Slawinski said. “The dream finally came true.”
