Johnson City begins its championship-defending 2025 season on Aug. 12 on the road against Poth.
The Lady Eagles won the 2A Division I State Championship last season, but with a team featuring nine seniors a year ago, Johnson City will look a lot different this season. A majority of the team consists of players that were elevated from the junior varsity team, and for head coach Heather Wilson, the new faces up and down the court offer a lot to be excited about.
“Seeing the group we have coming up just gives you that renewed excitement,” Wilson said. “Graduating nine is a huge hole to fill, but this group I have is technically sound. They’re a fun group.”
