Right before the offensive practice ended August 5, Llano High School football offensive coaches told the players to line up and prepare to run tempo.
That means the Yellow Jackets ran to the line of scrimmage then turned to the sideline to read the signals from coaches to know which play to run. In about a dozen plays, the Jackets only had one negative – a dropped ball by a receiver.
They looked efficient and energetic as junior quarterback Luke Davis was flawless in calling the play and knowing not only his job but the jobs of his teammates.
