The Mason High School tennis program winning the Class 3A and Under State Championship of the Texas Tennis Coaches Association in March wasn’t by accident.
The Punchers and Cowgirls had gotten close twice the past two years leading up to the win.
That propelled them to earning University Interscholastic League Class 2A state championships in all three doubles competitions in May along with earning four silver medals in singles, girls doubles and mixed doubles and bronze medals in boys singles and boys doubles.
