With only 48 hours’ notice, the community of Horseshoe Bay responded with generosity to an email notification sent out on Tuesday, July 15.

Concerned citizens delivered a variety of essential items to Quail Point Lodge throughout the day Thursday, July 17. The truck load of needed items was collected for the relief of Burnet County flood disaster families.

Recently elected POA Board Member Bryce Harris organized the donation collection team. His mobile BarBQ Pit and tent were set up in the Quail Point parking lot to facilitate easy drop off. The donation collection site was staffed with HSB friends and family. Harris was quick to point out that the “three-legged stool” of city, POA and Resort was functioning smoothly with a cooperative spirit.
