The 60th Annual Mason Roundup Rodeo took place this past weekend, drawing enthusiasts from near and far to the charming Texas Hill Country. Known for our traditions and vibrant community spirit, the rodeo celebrated its milestone with an array of exciting events and attractions. Attendees were treated to classic rodeo competitions, including bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping, showcasing the skills and bravery of both seasoned and up-and-coming cowboys and cowgirls.
We were truly blessed by the weather with no rain and cloud cover with a cool breeze at times for the 2025 Rodeo! Rodeo events kicked off on Thursday, July 10, with the Mason County Team roping, this is a Mason tradition that if you have not been out to watch, you should. To participate you must either live in Mason County, have graduated from Mason High School or be married to a graduate from Mason High School, this makes for quite the competition. Thursday nights Average winners were Dennis Townsend and Chase Montague and Saturday nights buckle winners were Jody Webster and Asa Daugherty.
Both Friday and Saturday at the Mason TX Rodeo were kicked off with a prayer by Rock Dickie. Followed by Mason High School students Elizabeth and Hannah Mc-Farland (Friday) and Adalie Thomas (Saturday) for singing the National Anthem. We were excited to have Kalli Criswell (Friday) and 4F Media and Protography (Saturday) capturing so many great memories with these ladies talented photography work!
