A Llano man who already served time for a 2006 homicide now is heading to prison for decades after being convicted of possession of child pornography.
Brian Joseph Edwards, 41, pleaded guilty on June 26, to 12 counts contained within two separate indictments. The judge then found him guilty of six of the counts and sentenced him to 45 years in prison on two of the counts and 20 years in prison on the other four counts, according to the district attorney.
“He admitted guilt to all 12 counts, and as part of the plea deal, he was convicted of six of the counts,” said Perry Thomas, who is the district attorney for the 33rd and 424th judicial districts that includes Llano, Blanco, Burnet and San Saba counties. He spoke with the News on Monday. “The judge took all 12 counts into consideration as part of the plea agreement.”
