After the June 9 Llano Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) meeting, the News met with Llano Regional Hospital leadership - Linda Walker, CEO, Pat McDowell, President of the Hospital Authority Board, and David Willmann, Vice President of the Hospital Authority Board - to gain insight into the financials of the hospital in light of the additional funding discussed.
During the LEDC meeting Ms. Walker told the assembly that although she found several issues, she did not find anything that cannot be solved with time and money.
We asked Ms. Walker if she was able to pinpoint how much time and money will be needed to get the hospital to self-sufficiency. Walker said that she did not know specifically yet, but that she expects to gain more visibility in the next few months. She said she knows what is needed.
