MISD Moves Toward Relocating District Offices

MISD Moves Toward Relocating District Offices
The Mason ISD school board passed a resolution on Monday, June 23, to approve selling the building on the square that has served as the MISD Administrative Office since it was donated to the district in 1974.

On Monday night, the Mason Independent School District (MISD) board passed a resolution to sell the former Mason National Bank building that has served as the district’s offices since 1974.

The approximate $1,000,000 needed for repairs and renovation “would be better spent on our kids,” said board member Jim Bob Smith.

MISD Superintendent Sean Leamon said passing the resolution to sell is “step one” in a lengthy process to proceed with selling the building, which “we don’t have the means to restore.”
