Cowgirls Putting in the Time Now For Future Success
The benefits of jumping rope date back to ancient times, and Georgia Hicks is making the most of her session as she increases the intensity.

When fans pass by the Mason school grounds most mornings, they’ll see numerous Cowgirls in grades seven through 12 working on their agility, strength and conditioning.

Their attendance to the department’s summer strength athletic coordinator Alicia Cummings said.

“I’ve always been a big proponent of it,” she said. “There’s discipline, our culture, team work, investment – those aren’t for whatever sport you play; those are life skills. Strength and conditioning or playing summer league with your team – that is invaluable because of what comes of it. I really do think our kids are buying in. It’s neat to see during those three or four weeks the growth.”
