On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Judge Evan Stubbs of the 424th District Court sentenced 58-year-old Chandler Rodgers of Marble Falls, TX to 70 years in prison. The sentence followed the recommendation of a jury, after Rodgers pleaded guilty to Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in an amount greater than 400 grams. The case was prosecuted by the 33rd & 424th District Attorney’s Office under District Attorney Perry Thomas.

Rodgers was arrested with over 900 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle on October 24, 2024, during a traffic stop conducted by the Burnet County Sheriff’s Department just outside Marble Falls. The arrest resulted from information gathered in a joint investigation involving the Burnet County Sheriff’s Department, Marble Falls Police Department, and Llano County Sheriff’s Department. Rodgers admitted he intended to sell the drugs.

At trial, Rodgers pleaded guilty to the charge. The jury then heard evidence showing that, on the same day as Rodgers’s initial arrest, the Marble Falls Police Department executed a search warrant on his residence and discovered more than 400 grams of methamphetamine and several firearms. The jury further heard that, just eleven days after bonding out on the original charges, Rodgers was stopped again—this time by the Marble Falls Police Department. Officers found another 400 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle.
