The Horseshoe Bay Fire Department recently concluded two intensive sessions of First Aid training as part of the POA’s community education series, reaffirming its commitment to public safety and community engagement.
These informative and hands-on classes, offered at no cost to attendees, showcased the Horseshoe Bay Fire Department’s dedication to empowering residents with potentially life-saving knowledge.
The first session, on May 29, was led by EMT and firefighter Thad Martin and provided an engaging and practical overview of emergency response. Cardiac events and choking victims, including infants, were the focus, and the audience had all their questions answered. Martin’s calm, knowledgeable approach and emphasis that “the worst thing to do is nothing” left attendees feeling more confident and better prepared.
